This is a project for the renovation of a bare shell apartment, and the homeowners are a couple from Australia who are preparing to return to China. We are grateful for their trust in us, as they have entrusted us with the design of their home in China even before they have returned.

Based on the homeowners' design requirements of a natural style combined with comfort, we have incorporated elements of Chinese and modern minimalism, creating a simple and calm atmosphere. Natural tones have been employed to maximize the functionality of the space and create a warm living environment.

In terms of space planning, we have integrated the balcony with the interior, incorporating the original corridor area into the living room, visually enlarging the living room area. The space above the cabinets in the background of the living room sofa has been utilized as a countertop for the western-style kitchen, which better suits the homeowners' lifestyle abroad.
